A few months ago I was given the opportunity to update the living room in my apartment thanks to the #IKEAHomeTour. I worked with an extremely talented design team to dream up the living room of my dreams.
Before the update and redesign, I had to sit down with the IKEA team to explain what my challenges were in the space and what I would ideally want to get out the space.
BEFORE PHOTOS:
As I’m a creative at heart and spent a lot of time working from home, I wanted the central living room area of my apartment to be muilti-functional.
I wanted three main things out of the space:
To be able to come home and relax after a busy day around the city.
To be able to entertain friends on the weekends or before a fun night out.
To have a creative desk space where I could work from home.
I had also asked for multiple storage solutions as my apartment was small and lacked storage space overall.
After they took down what my needs were, they immediately got to work on designing the room.
24 hours later, I found myself standing in an entirely different space. The team did an amazing job addressing all of my needs!
AFTER PHOTOS:
I now had a bar to entertain which included mood lighting (One of my favorite pieces).
A sofa with a pull-out bed to be able to host friends from out of town. (See video)
Multiple storage solutions now to accommodate various sized items.
The entire experience was truly unforgettable and I can’t thank the #IKEAHomeTour team for all of their patience, hard work, and dedication to the project.
